The top travel trend for 2022, as CNBC has noted, is to “go big, and spend big.” After the previous two pandemic influenced years, 2022 has already stood out as a year in which people not only want to travel, but do so with an increased level of extravagance, and with an eye towards one-of-a-kind, bucket list experiences. For the three million or so people who visit Los Cabos annually, extravagance can take many forms. It can include luxury resorts, luxury villas, pampering spas, and multi-course food and wine feasts. But for those who want both extravagance and bucket list style experiences, it can mean only one thing: Cabo yacht charters.
Choosing the Best Cabo Yacht Charters
One of the foremost attractions of Cabo yacht charters is that they encompass so many other activities. The best local yachts offer not just an exquisitely luxurious sightseeing experience, but also world-class snorkeling and diving, big-game fishing, and a host of other outdoor adventures that take advantage of the Los Cabos region’s 350 days of annual sunshine and gorgeous coastal geography.
But it’s also much more. Spending a day or more on a yacht can certainly include one-of-a-kind outdoor adventures. But at root, it’s about extravagance in its purest form. It’s Champagne and caviar and living life to the fullest in a way that very few people on the planet ever get to experience. It’s having an entire crew, including a private chef, devoted to satisfying your whims and desires.
There are yachts, however, and then there are yachts. The term covers a lot of ground, as there is no standard definition, such as size, that determines what does or does not qualify as a yacht. In Cabo San Lucas, a yacht could mean a forty-foot sailboat, and there’s no doubt that chartering such a boat would be enjoyable. But when you think of the luxurious pampering and extravagance, that’s not a yacht.
This is a yacht…
Living the Northern Dream in Southern Waters – The Yacht
The 130 foot Northern Dream is not only the largest of the “Cabo yacht charters” available in Los Cabos, it’s also the most lavishly appointed, with chic and comfortable decór, and wow-factor appointments like a private chef, jacuzzi, flat-screen televisions, a smaller runabout for adventurous explorations, and a master bedroom featuring a king-sized bed and steam shower. The luxury yacht boasts enough cabin space to sleep 8, but can accommodate a dozen or more guests for day trips around Land’s End or along Los Cabos’ picturesque coastline.
Northern Dream – Accents & Amenities
Sleek design, newly installed features, and state-of-the-art equipment make cruising aboard Northern Dream a truly special experience. The yacht boasts an all-new galley and salon, as well as pampering extras like satellite television on 65” flatscreens, surround sound stereo, and a washer-dryer combo – you know, in case you need to freshen up before a runabout trip to your favorite beach bar. The all-new flybridge, meanwhile, is fully stocked, with everything from sonar and radar to GPS and a Furuno fish finder.
Northern Dream – Design & Decór
Northern Dream underwent a complete retrofit in 2018, receiving all-new layout and design … including new bedding, tableware, and decór. Each area of the yacht boasts its own look, not to mention top of the line appointments and appliances. The galley, for instance, features a Wolf oven, Sub Zero freezer drawers, and an Asko dishwasher. The eight-seat dining table, meanwhile, is a showpiece made from reclaimed antique hardwood.
The most impressive onboard space, however, may be the master suite, a stunningly expansive 283 square foot cabin, with a king-sized bed, heated floors, steam shower, twin sinks, and wood furnishings. Three other en suite guest cabins are also available, however, each located adjacent to the master cabin. Two feature queen beds, while the third offers kid-friendly bunks. All offer USB ports for phone charging.
The saloon and aft deck are also outfitted with stylish furnishings, including comfortable (and stain resistant) Champagne colored couches: the former an L-shaped lounge couch facing a 65” flatscreen TV, the latter set near the Italian quartzite topped cocktail bar. A 65” flatscreen, by the way, is also viewable from the six-person jacuzzi spa pool.
If you’re interested in chartering a yacht in Cabo San Lucas, you cannot do better than this luxuriously equipped vessel.
Northern Dream – The Activities
If there’s an outdoor activity popular in Los Cabos, chances are it can be enjoyed – in considerably more style, mind you – during Northern Dream’s dreamlike cruises. The yacht boasts 20 custom Shimano reels for offshore fishing – wouldn’t you rather catch marlin from a luxury yacht? – as well as two Seadoo Spark jet skis, two kayaks, two stand up paddle boards, snorkel gear, and six-person jacuzzi, Sunning and swimming are also provided for, as are adventurous jaunts to nearby beaches or points of interest, with the latter aided by the yacht’s 18 foot Robalo runabout.
Northern Dream – Dining & Drinking
Los Cabos is blessed with a wealth of wonderful restaurants, but if your tastes run to Champagne and caviar, the best local dining experience is found not on land, but aboard Northern Dream. The yacht’s private chef offers both luxe specialty items and hors d’oeuvres featuring freshly caught seafood, and is also adept at multi-course food and wine pairing dinners. The open bar, meanwhile, promises margaritas and other premium cocktails.
Any Occasion Is a Special Occasion on this Yacht
Of course, Cabo yacht charters aboard Northern Dream are an inspired choice for special occasions, whether it’s popping the question, a honeymoon cruise, or a corporate management outing. But there’s no special reason needed for this kind of luxury and extravagance, other than the desire to experience it for yourself.
