The real attractions are the 900 islands on the Gulf of California, that are filled with fantastic flora and fauna. The Sea of Cortez is home to parrot fish, mahi-mahi, trigger, sea turtles, large manta rays, dolphins, and many types of whales.

Isla Espiritu Santo has been a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site since 2005 and a National Park since 2007. In it you will find an impressive scenic beauty; the contrast between sea and desert, rock formations of volcanic origin, numerous virgin beaches, as well as a great quantity of endemic flora and fauna.

There are 32 species of reptiles, 98 species of birds, several species of marine mammals and 16 endemic species. In this island complex there are also important sites with archaeological remains of the Pericú indigenous group.
