10th Gastrovino Festival in Todos Santos

November 10 – 13: Attention gourmands and oenophiles! With the exception of the annual Sabor a Cabo shindig in Los Cabos, Gastrovino is the best food and wine festival in Baja California Sur. Gastrovino was founded by the owners of since-closed wine and olive oil boutique La Bodega de Todos Santos, and over the years has developed a reputation as a weekend festival chockablock with tantalizing tasting opportunities. The pairing dinner (formerly at Hotel California, now at Rancho Pescadero) is one of many recurring highlights, but the “Big Cheese,” so to speak, is the Sunday main event (formerly at the town square, now at Jazamango). There, over 20 wineries from Baja’s Valle de Guadalupe share their palate-pleasing wares, as do over 20 of the region’s best restaurants, plus special visiting chefs from Yountville in Napa Valley. Live music is also a staple, as is a silent auction to benefit local programs for children, and Baja Brewing Company will sponsor a beer garden this year.
